"Stop Crying...AND FIX YOUR FACE!"
I remember my mother verbally disciplining us as children and as we cried she would holler, "Stop crying...and FIX YOUR FACE!"
I remember always hearing the saying that "God will never give you more than you can bear." I'm not 100% sure that's scriptural, but I've heard many Christians rely on that idea as a means of suffering through their trials. I have a girlfriend (who will remain nameless) who is in her mid-twenties with 2 children. Her oldest is a troublesome teenage boy and her youngest is pre-teen daughter with mental disabilities. Those skilled in mathematics will figure out that this single mother has taken on a large responsibility at a very young age. I doubt that she is aware of just how much I admire her. She has a steady job and recently purchased her first home.
She wakes up everyday and decides to keep going.
She does what so many others don't, won't, and didn't. I don't think I could walk a moment in her shoes. No, I can't walk in them. But I truly admire her stride. I really need to stop crying.

The actual scripture that is often misquouted is 1 Corinthians 10:13
"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."
The scripture itself concerns temptation, not necessarily the trials of life. In that same light, Paul said this-
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Cor 4:17)
and
consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.(Rom 8:18)
