Researching Alternatives

Today is better day. Its kind of like eating a spicy meal that you're not accustomed to. The initial bite is unexpected and hard to take...normally followed with a few sips of water. After a few bites, the meal is easier to swallow. I'm researching alternative methods of medicine, more holistic forms of treatment that can either compliment or replace whatever my doctor suggests (I will learn of her opinion during my colposcopy in a few weeks). Earlier my doctor told me that she welcome alternative methods to use in conjunction with her treatment(s)...anything that will help.

I started taking IP-6 Inositol prior to receiving my downgraded test result a few months ago and later stopped taking it. I don't know why I stopped. I figured my body would take over and fix the rest, but I suppose I was wrong. I started taking it again yesterday. I'm also considering doing a modified Raw Food regimen. I've heard a lot of good things about people who changed to this diet.  It would be difficult because I'm a red meat kind of girl. But I bought a juicer some years ago and figured I could put it to good use. I plan to do more research on the types of fruits, vegetables, and nuts that I should be eating and replace/incorporate them into my diet. I'm looking for a long-term change, not a short-term diet. My son is with his father and his family for the next week so I will use the time to evaluate and research. I'm hoping to go grocery shopping tonight and put a plan in place for my eating. I still plan to work out (weight training and cardio) so I will need to make sure I get sufficient protein (enough grams to equal my body weight) in my diet. I plan to stay away from red meat but still eat fish, especially salmon (I LOVE SALMON!). The idea is to stay away from processed foods that are injected with hormones and eat fresher fruits and veggies. I'm hoping that this will help, and perhaps by the time I have my biopsy in a few weeks there could be some improvement.
