Doing for Christie

I took the plunge and went grocery shopping for fruits and veggies for my new diet. I spent $80 on produce, some that I've never tasted before. I plan to make Gazpacho tonight and have that for dinner for the rest of the week. I also picked up fresh salad, carrots, beets, zucchini, grapefruits, oranges, and lemons. I don't want to make these changes because of my current situation, but because I want to make a lifestyle change. I want to be healthier and take better care of myself.

Taking care of myself also translated into doing things for myself. As much as I try to be financially responsible, I also need to do things for myself from time to time. I finally purchased the deck furniture I wanted (60% off!). I also took a class at Home Depot to learn how to remodel my master bathroom. As much as I love to have the spa experience, I've decided to convert my home to the luxurious retreat that I would love to call home. I'll do it one project at a time, starting with my master bedroom suite.

I'm encouraged tonight by the song by Mary Mary "God in Me." God has blessed me.
