The End to a Great Week

I am absolutely exhausted. Though I took a day off from my primary job yesterday, I ran a lot of errands in addition to working on the project for my client. Last night I was up past midnight trying to put the finishing touches on the narrative portion of the audit report. I just finished about 10 minutes ago and I'm thrilled that God got me through another audit project. This is the second audit that I managed for my client. What is so amazing to me is that nearly 8 years ago I was a novice in the world of Accounting. But somehow, God increased my skill set to the point that I'm overseeing yearly audits for a municipality.  I'll start the next audit year project in the coming weeks.

I did get my tattoo yesterday...very excited about that! It didn't hurt, just more of an irritating sensation. It took about 15 minutes. It reads in Hebrew as "Adonai (or Jehovah) Ropheka" which translates in English to "The Lord of Your Healing." I'm loving it! (see below)

I spent the past couple of days finding ways to be a blessing to others, or treating others with the love of God. What happened is that I ended up being blessed in the process. I tried to keep tabs on my friends and speak to those I normally don't associate with. I tried to spread joy to others and uplift those I came in contact with. I showed my tattoo to the new girl at the front desk of my job, just to find out that she is Jewish and reads Hebrew. She loved my tattoo and read it! Thank God the tattoo reads correctly and doesn't say something crazy like "pigs fly."  She's a college grad (and a really sweet girl) with her MBA in education, but can't find a job in the field. Thus, she's a receptionist. But I told her about my interest in learning Hebrew (I've been thinking about reading the Old Testament in the original language of Hebrew). She jumped at the chance to teach me! So I downloaded the Hebrew alphabet and gave it to her for her so she can give me the pronunciation of each letter (Hebrew is an alphabet of consonants and can be read without vowels, the dots and "T's" found in the tattoo below). I'm thrilled to be learning something new, and to make a new friend.

Tomorrow I plan to spend the day relaxing. I received a vegetarian cookbook as a gift from my former college professor and plan to pick a couple of recipes and try them out. I also received the cord I purchased that will allow me to connect my CPU to my downstairs TV, thus eliminating my bedroom office....a step closer to the luxurious retreat that my home will soon become. My kitchen table will finally have the final 4th chair and my bedroom will miraculously be bigger. I might be able to fit in some Yoga...it's been a while and I could use a good stretch. This was truly a blessed week. "Relaxation" is on the menu for the weekend.
