Christie, He will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusted in Thee. Isaiah 26:3. I am going to the throne room tonight to ask our Mighty God in the Name of Jesus to refresh you in his Spirit and to restore the joy of your salvation. Nothing is too difficult for God. I ask the Lord to help you to set the right priorities and that you make good and godly decisions. I pray that you will know what is His priority for you. I ask Him to guide you in all wisdom concerning the decisions you need to make. I pray that your rest will be sweet for He giveth his beloved rest and you are his beloved. I pray that you awake refreshed as He renews your strenth like the eagle's. I pray that you trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Your steps have been ordered in His word. Make you hear His voice saying, "this is the way, walk in it."
The Lord will go before you. Let God arise in your life. Let Him be God. let Him show you great and mighty things that you could never dream for yourself. He is a very present help in the time of trouble. I know he will deliver you. Jesus has taken on full responsibility for you.He that begun a good work in you will preform it to the day of Jesus Christ. Phil 1:6 I love you. Ms. Leesa

Well ma'am I for one commend you during this time. As a single mom you go above and beyond the norm- and for that, you are truly an awesome woman. As far as the eating is concerned, you know how I am when it comes to my diet, but not eating, eating irregulary or switching between eating habits frequently can do more damage than good. If you're going to switch diets, do it in a transitional fashion- go from one to the other within a 2 or 3 day period- it gives your body time to adjust. Also, exercise is just as important- eating right is only part of the solution.

Righteous Love,

Rod

Ms. Leesa...thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I had no idea that you ever had cancer. As I'm sure you know, some days are better than others. But with each passing day I am more and more encouraged. I know that God is in control and that alone gives me great assurance.

My precious Christie,
I feel your fear and sadness. The one thing I want you to realize is that cancer is not above the name of Jesus. Nothing is above that wonderful name. So it means your fear and the cancer is subject to his Name. When I found out I had cancer, I quoted the 27th Psalm, verses 1-3. I was determined the enemy was not going to eat up my flesh. Christie through the cancer, radiation and surgery, I did not miss one day of work because of the cancer, except for the week of my surgery. The Bible says God does not slumber or sleep, so there is no point of both of you being up all night. Go to bed, rest in Him and let him be God. He's got this. If you need help with Tyler through this, you know you can always bring him here. Between me and your mom you know he will be well taken care of. I am unemployed right now so I am home. Let me know how I can help you. You are not alone in this. And always remember what I told you your name meant, "Christ sheltered." I love you so much, Leesa

The actual scripture that is often misquouted is 1 Corinthians 10:13
"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."

The scripture itself concerns temptation, not necessarily the trials of life. In that same light, Paul said this-

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Cor 4:17)

and

consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.(Rom 8:18)

I for one applaud your decision. I think it’s time we as people (individually and as a nation) need to be more frugal. A good example to follow would be Norway. When they discovered they had access to large amounts of oil the country's income boomed. However, instead of spending, they invested that into a savings that is now valued at $400 Billion dollars. The government is not allowed to touch the money, and is only able to withdraw up to 4% of it a year. I think we could learn a lot regarding this when we become wealthy. Keep are spending habits modest, except a few things you may want to purchase (sparingly) and watch your wealth and excess grow.
